Neighborhood overview

Ungasan is a quiet area on Bali’s Bukit Peninsula, known for its stunning ocean views, peaceful beaches like Melasti and Green Bowl, and laid-back vibe. The neighborhood combines luxury villas with a traditional Balinese feel and offers easy access to Uluwatu Temple, famous for sunset views and Kecak dance performances. With a mix of local eateries and upscale dining, Ungasan is perfect for a relaxed escape surrounded by natural beauty.

Getting Around

Getting around Ungasan is easiest by renting a scooter or motorbike, as the hilly terrain and narrow roads are best navigated on two wheels. Scooters can be rented daily or weekly at reasonable rates, allowing flexibility to explore nearby beaches, cafes, and landmarks. For those preferring not to ride, taxis and rideshare services like Grab and Gojek are also available but might take longer to arrive due to the area’s remote location. Walking is practical only within smaller areas, as the distances between popular spots can be significant.
