The Space

The exterior connects seamlessly with the interior, tailor-made by Indonesian craftsmen for the Concrete Retreat. Details of natural materials on the interior and exterior give the impression of being down to earth.

Neighborhood overview
Umalas is one of the strategic areas nearby the tourist villages. It is located between Seminyak, Kerobokan, and Canggu, making Umalas a prime location to stay.
Expats usually live in this neighborhood, still dotted with verdant rice fields, and provide a pleasant respite from crowded Seminyak and Canggu. However, keep an eye out for new restaurants and cafes popping out in this laid-back neighborhood.
Getting Around
Umalas is nestled in North Kuta and is approximately 5-10 KM northwest of Kuta and Seminyak, and it takes roughly 30 minutes to drive from the airport to the Umalas center.
The beach, shops, and restaurants are accessible by walking, yet renting a scooter is the most effective way to get around the area. Restaurants and cafes are in the street line, including Jalan Umalas 1 and Jalan Bumbak 2, making it easy to find your next delicious meal.
There is a shortcut from Umalas to Canggu that would take you right to the famous street of Canggu, Jalan Pantai Berawa.
If you are looking for a motorbike, we could arrange a scooter rental for you, or if you are interested in a more extended trip, we can set up a car with a private driver.
If you want to make the most of your trip to Bali, we recommend taking a pre-planned or custom-made tour.
